Looks like a thunder storm is moving in. Headed to the garage for leisurely
lunt. A vintage, restored House of Robertson bent Billiard with a new experimental mix.
I mixed up enough for a few smokes.
1 gram each of all C&D Baccy : Izmir, Bright Va Rbn, Red Va, cube Cut Burley and 2 grams of C&D Blk Cav all from 2021.
A cup of Pu’erh tea accompanying.

I don’t love C&D but that sounds pretty good.

Enjoyed a marvelous Italian Stallion sub and a Pastrami sub along with a nice portion of Italian pasta salad, and grilled marinated eggplant lunch. Dessert was a small plate of tiramisu. I've a quarter of a bowl left of Seattle Pipe Club Down Yonder in a straight black 1963 Dunhill LBS Shell 4S billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Gold Star Night wish, neat, is my drink. Time for my Sunday pipe zoom.

What is this SPC “Down Yonder”? It’s ungoogleable which is unusual. Is this a “only jiminks has it” blend? I’m very curious.

I don't smoke clay pipes very often, but I'll take your word on that. Do you smoke clays exclusively? I only have a clay churchwarden, a Williamsburg, Virginia Tavern pipe, that I bought on eBay. The reason that I don't smoke it very often is that it seems to take two hands to smoke it. I'd like to explore the smaller clays; where do you buy yours?

We're having thunderstorms here in East Tennessee currently. Just finished some ribs left over from my lunch at Applebee's. Won't be getting ribs there in the future; they weren't very good for what I paid for them. Smoking some Boswell's Pennsylvania Dutch Treat that they sent me when I bought a pipe from them a few weeks ago. Smoking it in a Peterson's Shamrock Dublin.

Wait just a minute!!! Are you telling me that ribs from the planet’s finest BBQ joint, Applebees, suck? That’s Unpossible! 😂🙃

Just passing the quarter mark on this bowl of early 2000s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

It's a stoved, aged, all Brazilian Virginia crumble cake. I don't think a release date has been set, but they are apparently thinking July or August. A friend got samples at the Chicago Pipe Show, and sent them to me.

Just finished a bowl of C&D Opening Night in my Peterson 80s bulldog, with some coffee.

I folded and stuffed it, then rubbed out a little more to fill in gaps at the top and act as kindling, and left it to dry a bit overnight. Fold and stuff has yet to work great for me; there are occasional moments of extra flavor and sweetness that are exciting, but the rest of the time it’s a lot of extra manipulation to keep going. But since doing things the hard way is a natural tendency for me, I’ll keep trying at it. puffy
