Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead in a well appreciated medium bend, smooth brown 1950s Peterson 999 Dublin chubby Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Eked out another narrow Scrabble victory against wifey (nearly got screwed picking up the "Q" on the last turn), then went out to relax and enjoy the approaching twilight with some Sutliff Uno (sample) in a Savinelli Bacco 321 bent author. Bird report: California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, Mountain chickadee, Common raven, Mourning dove, Red-tailed hawk, and Northern flicker. Going to have homemade daal over rice for dinner.

Good Saturday morning all. Up at a reasonable hour today as no Premier League footie. Tomorrow is the season's conclusion. I received a wonderful gift from a generous forum member this week, that I will treat as a birthday present, though they decided to gift me before they realized that it was my birthday last Saturday. A forty-year-old saddle stemmed Savinelli Punto Oro Mister 806. I'm honored and thrilled to receive it and will post a photo when I inaugurate it with Old Gowrie later today. If I say that the inaugural smoke should be Derriston, you might guess at the identity of the gifter.
To start the smoking day I'm opting for HH Burley Flake in a Savinelli Roma 673.

Happy belated Birthday 🎁 🎂 🥳

This had me thinking of Old Gowrie too. :)

So Old Gowrie it is, for @UncleRasta and that new pipe, in a Dr. Grabow: Commodore 65 Zulu, dated from 1967-1969, vulcanite stem, metal screw-in tenon, no stinger.

Be well! ❤️

I love old Britwoods, especially centenarians
But I’m taking out a couple of youngsters today

1st up is this 2011 Jimmy Craig Ashton Prince.
It had a straight stem initially, but the guys at Blue Room Briars obligingly put a slight bend in when I requested

Smoking a bowl of Germain’s Rich Dark Flake

A distinct chill in the air, so a tot of rum is in order.
