Three bowls today, first Ten Russians in the Peder Jeppesen Stack (that didn't pass a pipecleaner when I got it). Sliced thin and rubbed out Ten Russians is an excellent Lat Bomb.

Second some Kendal Kentucky mixed with Sutliff Red VA smoked in a James Barber B-Line Billiard, somehow this is a bit muted even though I've had better bowls of straight Kendal Kentucky, and Sutliff Red VA usually adds more flavor not less, I almost wonder if the specific sample of Reds I used for this blend was a bad batch (not bad smoking, just less flavored than normal).

Third was a half and half burley blend flavored with molasses smoked in a Brebbia Jumbo Pot. Unfortunately this experiment seems to be mostly a failure as the topping added almost nothing.

@Ag®o , thank you sir! This was a first in two ways for me. First time using Grecian briar and first time doing a blast finish. I was content with the results on both accounts.
With the Greek briar, especially if very seasoned, besides the change in density (harder) it was the diversity of essences during processing that surprised me, perhaps it was the same for you.

@Ag®o , I somewhat agree with you on all, with the exception being, I didn't find it to be as hard/ dense as Mimo briar. It was well aged/ seasoned and harder than Manno briar, but I've found that Mimo's blocks seem to be the toughest for sanding and shaping.

Last thing last night, SG Squadron Leader in a Stanwell straight bulldog with saddle stem, shape 32, in a smooth finish. My only complaint about my drink, stovetop percolator coffee, is that every year or so the percolator falls and either breaks or completely disappears the glass percolator dome. This latest one went went off into thin air. Fortunately, I cannibalized one off a larger pot, but now I have to get some replacements for the larger pot and for the future. This must happen regularly for others since they sell packs of four online. As soon as I get new ones, the lost one will reappear intact. Such is life.
