Relaxing after a wonderful salad, wild caught catfish and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm just passing the quarter mark on this bowl of first release Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

P&C Match Hickory in my MM mini-cob, to end a solid day's work. Been loving these smaller sized bowls lately! Sometimes, I just don't have an hour to sit, puff, and let my neurotic Jewish brain wander into depths that would make Larry David himself shudder and ponder the implications of conversion to Islam Latvian Orthodox.

Bird report: Oak titmouse, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, California quail, California towhee, House finch, American tree sparrow, Chipping sparrow, Mountain chickadee, Common raven, Western kingbird, American robin, Band-tailed pigeon, Ring-necked dove, California thrasher, and House sparrow. This list should make up for my last two bird-less twilight smokes. Chicken teriyaki w/broccoli on the docket for this evening, and a viewing of the film Margin Call. It will be interesting to see the parallels between the '08 housing crash and this next one that's just around the corner.

Like me you seem to be a bird watcher and obviously must live quite a bit west of me. Don't typically get much variety around our feeder, though, here in town. Mostly just house sparrows, house finches, grackles, blue jays, and 3 different types of doves. Also, robins, of course. Do live only 6 miles from 1 of the best inland marshes in the lower 48 states.
