I bought a few of those Tennessee Waltz cigars on the TN side of Bristol a few years ago, enjoyed them. think they are only available in the TN market? also nice meers

Smoking Dark Plug in my Cinar meerschaum that's pretty much a pipe for tobaccos from northwest England
I’m originally from Bristol, Tennessee, technically eastern Sullivan County. Small world!

I had another bowl of Haddo's Delight in a cob this afternoon.
I posted the other day about my first bowl of it and I didn't like it at all. It was fired up mere minutes after opening the tin.
I will say the experience today was much more pleasant.
I don't know if my taste buds were jacked up or if a few days of the can being open dissipated some of the rum flavoring, but I enjoyed it this afternoon. I like the spicy Perique kick quite a bit.

Smoking Daughter's & Ryan Two Timer for the first time, in a Falcon.

Though this blend is advertised to be simply double toasted Burley, I would swear on my mother's grave that there's Virginia in this. It's got that grassy, hay, citrus flavor so distinctive of Virginia tobaccos and the retrohale stings my sinuses in that way Virginias tend to do. It's a pleasant and tasty enough blend, though getting Virginia when you wanted pure Burley is rather irksome; especially when you have a pound of it. I feel that I have been bamboozled. 😓

C&D has a couple of blending burleys you should check out.

MM American Patriot English blend in a BriarWorks straight sandblasted brandy with wood accent and saddle stem. Please excuse the still slightly dirty finger nails. I did my best after working on my car for 16 hours yesterday, but saved over $1,800 US in labor fees in the process.

EDIT: Forgot to add that Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was my drink. Actually paired well with the tobacco, which was a shocker.

Another very handsome Briarworks pipe. Love the grain on this blast!

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, orange roughy and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2019 Seattle Pipe Club Deception Pass plug in a smooth straight brown late 1930s Linkman’s Dr. Grabow Deluxe Bruyere 9703B pot with a nickel accent and a black tapered vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Been a quite evening as all my cats have been snoozin'. Daisy the Feral Princess is doing that by my feet. The other ferals are outside. Watching an episode of The Wild Wild West. The last episode guest starred Boris Karloff. This one has Dr. Lovelace.

I've been slowly but surely working my way through a tin of Frog Morton's Cellar. I thankfully have more, but it's one of those I treat like gold these days, because once it's all gone... Well it's filling the bowl of this sandblasted Peterson Deluxe System B42 for now. A pipe, although I'm not one to name my pipes, I am considering referring to in the future as "The Beast." These B42s are substantial in size, and this one literally smokes like a beast. Having coffee this evening on the side.1000000577.jpg

Ok, so about a month back, TobaccoPipes had the Radiator systems for dirt cheap ($5ea!) as they were exiting stage left. Though there weren't any bowls to buy, I got a handful of the bases and began a commission with Justin from 1913 Pipes on Etsy.

It arrived today and I'm currently enjoying the coolest, driest bowl of Blood Red Moon I've ever had!

Goal was a morta short stack with a slightly wider profile and a beveled rim. He also made a matching purple bit and tossed it in! Excellent communication and I couldn't be happier with this outcome. He's going to have a repeat customer in me as I build out these other Radiators for gifts down the road.

Didn't mean for any of that to sound like an ad but I'm just happy with my first ever commission order and to have an excellent pipe at one heck of a deal overall 😁
