Going to have Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead in a partially rusticated Brebbia Iceberg (stamped Jceberg) Long Shanked Canadian/Lumberman 800 (an unsmoked fully rusticated Jceberg with box in the background).

The unsmoked version (also stamped “Jceberg”) still has its original tissue paper and insert. It’s a relatively early version of the 800 and bears the Brebbia Gnome stamp. This is one of those instances where the collector in me will most likely preserve this pipe as unsmoked since it has all of its sundry ephemera and is an early example of this model. It helps that I have an 800 that I can smoke in its stead.

Still wanting to form an educated opinion on straight unflavored burley but no longer trusting my old cob, I stuffed some C&D White Burley into my clay. It’s about as clean as I can get it without throwing into the oven for a clean cycle.

Not bad, but my impressions were mostly the same as before: some mild toasted wheat flavors, but the hints of cigar were still present along the way. I’m curious how blending with other tobaccos — to say nothing of casings/toppings — are able to obscure that so well.
@ThermionicScott Nice pipe - I like the classic clay pipe shape. Looks a very short stem on it! I don't recommend cleaning clay pipes in the oven as you can't get rid of the smell of stale baccy or the residue...
