Not far from finishing this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend.

A little. I smoked in my outdoor shed, while working on rearranging some stuff. Stayed out of most of the wind.
@Carol It was VERY windy the day I went to see the Sealed Knot:)
Took part in a tree planting session this morning; helped plant 12 fruit trees in Walton. Picked 1/2 bag of rubbish and took Jane another log for her fire. A good morning's work!

Article on my previous tree wardens planting session in Staveley from last year:
Helped plant 12 new fruit trees in Walton this morning and helped plant 16 Liquid Amber trees in Staveley last November.
I think "Liquid Amber" sounds like a beer and "Clay King" sounds like a pipe baccy!

Good day all! Pipe&Chess - it counts for me. Just because it's in your mind doesn't mean it's not a good smoke. Some of the best bowls are the one's I'm dreaming about. And some of biggest surprises and letdowns happen when I put fire to the real tobacco because it either transcends or doesn't live up to my imagined reality. Pragmatically, dreaming saves money and the hassle of pipe cleaning, too. Anyway, starting with a real bowl of Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls in a small Upshall sandblast Canadian size 4. This one lives up to the dream.

A leather wrap? How does that work out vs other pipes?
Maybe it’s a winter pipe? Or one to keep roasted pork belly warm? It might have been just the new black in times the pipe was built in the 1950s? Maybe the bruyére underneath was not so nice.

Smoke wise i can’t taste any difference. What’s quite special is the drilling of the Tanganyika Meerschaum Block in this Kiko. The chamber in spite of the broad bulldog shape is tapering off quite extreme and builds a really small chamber, ideal for short smokes or some folded flakes.
