Listing this a little early: C&D Virginia Gentleman in a straight smooth dark brown pre-1940s Comoy’s Jost’s Olde English Supreme J299 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Last smoke for today is Solani Aged Burley Flake in a Koncak Andreas Bauer.
The Country Squire’s Second Breakfast in a Savinelli Churchwarden.
Onto the 2nd bowl of MacBaren's Navy Flake
This time in the cob
The cob again gave a very open drawing smoke.
I managed to overpack the calabash resulting in a tight draw on lighting.
This resulted in the MacBaren's dreaded tongue bite. To be accurate it was more a tingle at the tip of the tongue.
Removed the bowl, cleared out the fraught hole and Bob's your uncle ! (Oz speak for easy- peasy)
After that it was a very enjoyable mellow smoke with more depth of flavours than with the cob.
Next time I'll pitch the cob against a meer.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am passing the quarter mark on this bowl of Wilke No. 222 in an undated, unbranded straight smooth dark brown made in France Los Alton VBF billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Having a bowl of Brebbia Balkan, meers are becoming my favorite
Just tried my first bowl of C&D Dark Burley in the #1 cob.
It tasted very cigar-like to me on the outset, after a while it smoothed out to those shredded wheat flavors I’ve noticed in their White Burley. I had to put the pipe down halfway through, and found that it resumed a bit like a cigar, too. Somewhat bitter and ashy before smoothing out again. In the future, I’ll try to make sure I can devote a full stretch to this stuff. To be clear, I like cigars, and this could definitely be a nice change of pace smoke for me!

Some Sutliff Amaretto in a great smoking Willmer hand cut made in England Large bulldog So nice to relax with a great pipe and tobacco and to wonder what is the rest of the world doing?
Just finished smoking Wilke No. 78 in a quarter bend smooth dark brown small bowl 2016 Brigham Algonquin 226 Rhodesian with a long black vulcanite tapered stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Now smoking Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite.
Half way through this bowl of year 2016 Sutliff Revelation Match in a straight smooth brown post-WWII Kingsway (Comoy’s) London Made 61 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Now Smoking: Checking out a taster sample of Sutliff TS-12 Dark Fired Kentucky Burley Ribbons in a little 4" Old German Clay 'Cutty', and absolutely swimming in the joys of Nicotine Heaven while Sipping/Tasting very slowly.
Thinking a pinch of this one in a bowl would be a wonderful alternative to the spicier/faster/hotter burn-rate of 5 Bros - being as 5Bs is a Shag cut - as my usual GoTo Vitamin-N booster fuel to Kick-up an otherwise beloved lower/mid-nic blend.
I am feeling 'feeling nicotine dreamy' with TS-12 in the best of ways. Definitely let's leaves you feeling that you smoked something.
Oh, and just finished watching Land of the Giants on MeTV's Super Sci-Fi Saturday Night; and, it turns out some of the Giants like smoking pipes too!

Finished work for the day, fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, and went outside in the cold to feed Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave. I think Shy Stripesy was around because as soon as I opened the back door, I saw the motion light on the side of the house go on, so somebody ran from me, and that's Stripesy's MO. Anyway, I'm close to finishing this bowl of first release Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a straight smooth brown 1920s-30s Sasieni patent 8 dot Marborough lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
Last smoke of the day is Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem.
