C & D Burley Flake #1, another great blend for the VaPer lover looking for cooler smoking options. Also, I greatly prefer flake, ready rubbed, broken, or whole. Not a huge fan of ribbon or cakes, though I love a shag cut! .

She was nice enough to let me clean/restore it before putting it away until today. Going to break it in with some Marlin flake.

I love Marlin Flake and all the Rattray’s Vapers with added Burley. Marlin flake is a nice shift from those with added Cavendish instead of Burley.

Crack in a fairly new Cob. Anyone know how to stop this from spreadingView attachment 212587

I've used a little super glue on the outside part of the crack and let it seep in bit. The crack hasn't spread yet.

I wonder if patching with waterglass (sodium silicate) will be a better choice than cyanoacrylate in terms of toxicity and handling the heat.

I'm not sure how old it is. The band is nickel not silver, so no hallmarks, but I don't think it's all that old. Nice grain for a $100 Aran. Excellent smoker, too.

Did a set of walking reps, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem.
