***What are You Smoking, March 2022?***

I’m too dammed impatient to leave an unopened tin of a tobacco that I haven’t tried on the shelf for “later”, impatient and curious. Hence I’m having a bowl of C&D Redburn in this lovely MM that was kindly sent by @marconi, there’s not as much DFK as I expected and it’s quite sweet but it’s going down well with my coffee. I’m wondering what a pinch will do in a bowl of RDF ?.

I also have some Warped The Red Hunt drying out as it’s one of the dampest tobaccos I’ve had, smells great though and I’ll probably fire that up in this Bewlay Popular Canadian.

I decided to have The Red Hunt in a Caveman, I should have left it another half hour but as mentioned in my last post I’m too bloody impatient. It’s started quite mellow, I’m sure there’s a little sauce on top but can’t put my finger on it. Very well balanced, the Perique and Orientals seem to be in perfect proportion, makes you concentrate on your bowl as a good, complex blend should.
Sorry I can’t be more eloquent and descriptive but I’m halfway through and it’s bolder in flavour and showing some muscle that I didn’t expect, I think it’ll take a few more bowls to figure this one out, I’m gonna have to learn to take my time with this blend and give it a bit more time to dry out. It’s going into a jar for a week before I try it again, the date on the tin says it’s less than a month old.

Old Gowrie in a MM Missouri Pride with black coffee. The wind is threatening to prematurely end my morning ritual.
I had always wondered about this blend after reading numerous “holy grail” reviews. It never seems to be in stock anywhere. I hypothesized that it must travel from the blender directly to you guys’ vaults. A local store had it in bulk. It was the driest leaf I’d ever seen and tasted like wooden tongue depressor and stale ashtray. I tried rehydrating it. MUCH better.

Eastfarthing in the Bewlay Canadian. It’s a nice, sweet and mild English and many reviews I’ve seen compare it to the legendary Frog Morton, having never tried the latter I couldn’t say but I’d be interested to know what others think about that.
