A third of the way through this bowl of Sept. 2015 Savinelli Doblone d’Oro in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I envied the posts with pipes and knives, so here is one of my own. In south Aegean sea there is the island of Crete, the land of the Labyrinth, where civilization goes back through history for thousands of years. Many traditions of this place are still alive, despite the waves of aggressive tourism (which can be a good thing for economy and local societies but, if done in excess, it has... side effects).
One of these traditions is knife making, once needed for work or... fight, now also sold as souvenirs. Cretan knives have a characteristic shape and engravings (figures or poem verses) on the handle or on the blade. The maker of those in the photo is "Skalidakis - Cretan Knives".
The pipe is a Canasta, from the lower cost series of the much better known firm Ardor. I have 2 Canasta pipes, and although they cost so little, they smoke great and I also like their looks.
Tobacco is Kontor Tabak no 8.
Pardon me friends, I don't speak proper English, happy bowls to everyone.
