I envied the posts with pipes and knives, so here is one of my own. In south Aegean sea there is the island of Crete, the land of the Labyrinth, where civilization goes back through history for thousands of years. Many traditions of this place are still alive, despite the waves of aggressive tourism (which can be a good thing for economy and local societies but, if done in excess, it has... side effects).
One of these traditions is knife making, once needed for work or... fight, now also sold as souvenirs. Cretan knives have a characteristic shape and engravings (figures or poem verses) on the handle or on the blade. The maker of those in the photo is "Skalidakis - Cretan Knives".
The pipe is a Canasta, from the lower cost series of the much better known firm Ardor. I have 2 Canasta pipes, and although they cost so little, they smoke great and I also like their looks.
Tobacco is Kontor Tabak no 8.
Pardon me friends, I don't speak proper English, happy bowls to everyone.

i love those handmade knives, i don't have any from there, i will try to get one for my collection, i am a collector.

I mainly collect from the many artisans in my homeland, where I was born, in the North of Spain, near there is a village in the mountains where for centuries, they lived from the manufacture of knives and razors, as well as other tools for the cultivation of the land. Visiting these places is an enchantment, going back in time.

Stopped by a brick and mortar cigar shop here in Dallas on a whim, and found they carry a good selection of Peterson‘s and Savinelli’s and about 20 different tins and some bulk blends!

I couldn’t leave without buying something, so I grabbed my first C&D Haunted Bookshop after seeing so many posts about it recently. Loaded up my first bowl in an old unnamed basket Dublin.

Breaking in my brand new (to me, it's an unsmoked estate) Ashton Pebble Grain XX billiard. Inaugural bowl is Cornell & Diehl Burley Flake #3. Now that I own an English pipe, it is time I put on a tweed coat with elbow patches and talk about the superiority of the ol' Britwood, and how they don't make them like they used to in... [checks pipe listing] 2019! ?

Revelation Match with my ‘other’ girl, a latte and a magazine on the patio.

We had to euthanize our other furry child a couple days ago. 13 1/2 years of joy with him. That really sucked. This one is missing her brother, so clingy now.

My condolences. Pretty crushing to lose a good boy or girl.
