This pipe smokes pretty well, needs a little breaking in and I used a little honey for the first time to see if it makes a difference. Got Choc Flake in it at the moment.
On a sadder note I just found out that my neighbour has passed away from the cancer that had returned in spades. When he joined the Navy they still got a daily ration of Rum and he liked a glass at night so I’ll be raising a few to him during the day. RIP Cliff.

SWR in a Grand Duke with Petes French Roast. Got a pork shoulder started in the smoker early this morning. I made the vinegar bbq sauce and slaw yesterday. Sides will be fried okra and seasoned butter beans.

G&H Dark Birdseye in a Legend cob. I've smoked this blend in various briars and this 25 year old cob beats them as far as bringing out the flavors.

Went on down to McCranie's today and picked up some Coventry. This will be my first smoke in over 7 years! Smoking out of my only and first pipe, a tinder box second I picked up in college. (Late 90s)
Headed out to the back yard now, and I am so excited!
