Finished work for the day, and am almost finished smoking year 2016 D&R Two Timer Gold in a 1982 smooth straight Sasieni Ivory 105 Apple with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This was my first Sasieni. Bought it at my local Tinderbox for $9.95.
I had a bowl of Orlik Golden Sliced in my Brigham Capri. I was going to have some Balkan Sasieni since I bought a tin of it a month ago and still haven't tried it, I'm going to be the Best Man for my brother's wedding so I've been very busy, but since the Summer Solstice was tonight I went with OGS instead since many consider it to be the quintessential summer blend. Now that I've tried straight VA (Capstan Blue) I can really appreciate what Perique brings to the game, even if OGS has such a small amount many insist it's not there. This was a perfect way to enjoy the end of the longest day of the year.
Part way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend.
Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of Watch City Original Crumb Cut in a 1950s-60s straight smooth brown Bertram 07 octagonal paneled billiard with a square shank and a tapered black vulcanite stem. I'll end the day with this smoke.
@KORNEY I dont blame you. You dont want to bang around dangerous and clumsey spots with your crafted pipes. Its always good to have some easily replaced pipes. Ive a few Svendborg estates I use for that purpose.
Heading up toTysons Corner-DC to do some shopping with the wife so a Jason ‘J’ Mouton Commissioned Short Liverpool with a Dark Fired Leather Travel Pouch and a tin of Capstan Blue for the day and a back up Eltang Basic full of Exclusive on the side to hold me over.
Happy Friday Everyone!
