Newminster No. 400 Superior Navy Flake in this Heeschen Bent P
Just finished smoking Wilke No. 222 in an undated straight, smooth light brown unbranded short shank Bing-ish billiard with a long, tapered black vulcanite stem. Time to do a little snacking, and feral feeding.
Smoking some straight Kentucky burley red tips.

Nearing the half way mark on this bowl of Wilke Coronado Oriental in a straight black sandblasted undated, unbranded Made in France short shank billiard with a long black vulcanite tapered stem.
I was pleasantly surprised. On its own without any casing it was more than smokeable. Bold and smooth. After de-stemming, I just cut it up with a knife.
Half way through this bowl of Wilke Gentry Royal Blend No. 2 in a black sandblast quarter bend undated Briarcraft (Dr. Grabow made) Wimbledon 810 author with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
First time trying Uhle’s Crushed White Burley in a Radice Rind Straight.

Almost finished smoking Wilke Wall Street in my old reliable straight grain brown medium bend 1986 smooth Peterson Kildare 999 Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Burley and 40% perique.
St.Bruno flake in 4ab, Byzantium in Ashton spigot x.
Now smoking Wilke No. 24 in a smooth straight brown 1949 Yello-Bole Century Model Lovat with a nickel band accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem. Have a little more work to do.
Last smoke of the day is Angler's Dream in a 1984 Stanwell Antique 124 egg with a smooth brown front and a black sandblasted back with a dark gold ferrule and black vulcanite stem in the military mount style. Abner the Eager is trying to be friendly with everybody, but he gets ignored by the other ferals. He snuck in the house earlier today, and Molly Danger saw him for the first time. Glad she didn't have a hatchet because she was very upset and chased him to the back door. I was surprised because Molly generally hides. Guess it'll take time for Abner to be accepted, which is a shame because he's such a sweet cat, and only wants to be part of the group. He has that sad, puzzled "Won't you be friends with me?" look. Poor little fella.

Good Morning to denizens of the pipe universe. Starting my day off with another bowl of Warrior Plug. I have enough of this left for another bowl after breakfast. At that point I think I'll start on either some 10 year old St James flake or maybe a Wessex Gold Brick plug depending on my mood. I am using this late 1870s well colored meerschaum 'cutty' pipe with amber stem as my pipe 'de jour' and you will note the interesting hard wood case. I suspect this was made for the pipe by the original owner or it might be one of the wooden clay carry cases designed to prevent breakage. We will never know and frankly in the words of Captain Jack Sparrow - I am good with that. Enjoy your Saturday.
