Had some C&D John Marr in the Flame Grain Meerwoodie, after replacing all the plumbing to the horses’ autowaterers. I had followed someone’s advice that poly drip line would be good, but after daily coupling failures three days in a row I just swapped out everything to sched 40 pvc.
“Get horses” they said, “it’d be fun” they said…

Oh well, back to work tomorrow for some R&R😆

Half way through this bowl of year 2013 Stonehaven in a straight black sandblasted 1957 Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver banded military mount and a black ebonite tapered stem. The small, thin well groomed black cat ran from me as always until I started talking to it. When it saw I had food, he/she (?) stopped running, and sat down while I put dry food and chatted nicely to it. It wouldn't let me near it, but it stayed long enough to see I wasn't a threat. After five minutes, I saw nothing was going to change, so I went back inside. Maybe it'll come around and be friendly someday. It obviously can be social to humans because somebody else is feeding it, and I suspect it's a neighbor across the street.

I know I love fresh Hamborger Veermaster. Currently figuring out if I like it as much after being open a few months.. How do you like the fresh bag of aged? (I have a 250g bag in the cellar).
Fresh is alright. Aged is much, much better. It gains a very nice matured Virginia flavor, and loses most of the acidity, and some of the grass.

A third of the way through this bowl of 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a smooth straight brown circa WW2 Trapwell mountain laurel patent apple with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem. I'll end the day with this smoke.

It’s really good stuff. But I think I prefer their Balkan blend. The latakia seems more condimental to me in the flake.
Same here. Brebbia Balkan is my favourite Balkan blend for wintertime. I like the Latakia Flake too, but I miss some spice (perique) from it. Sometimes I add it to Bayou Night or Early Morning pipe, when I want some extra smokiness to those blends.

5 yr old Capstan Blue in a Grabow Westbrook brush rusticated pot. Life goes on. My life has significantly improved since a colostomy in November. Energy, taste buds, attitude, and appetite have all turned positive. I am patiently (npi) awaiting an appt. for reversal, but current situation is still a vast improvement.
