Mr. Rain decided to give us a break (as much as we need his visitations) so I headed out for a nice smoke. Eastfarthing in a MM Hardwood. This is my first bowl of Eastfarthing, very enjoyable.
Dorchester in a Pre-repub Pete. I haven’t been able to find anything out about this pipe other then the markings that make it 1947-1949 from Pipedia. It smokes great though! One of the first pipes I got when I started was a brand new Peterson XMas pipe and I hated it, I’ve been looking to try another one for a while and I think I chose well.

Sitting on porch during thunderstorm with my Peterson System Standard 314 smoking the nearly last bowl C&D "Ghost of Christmas Future" which I spied when taking a look in the cellar. It works in the summer too!
After a few straight days of Father Dempsey, thought I would use that gorgeous blend as a comparison to other English I’ve enjoyed. Went with some Balkan Sasieni in my Maestro Berdali bent something. (Help here please as I can’t tell if it’s an egg, volcano, etc). These could not be more different, both beautiful in their own right but FD waaaay more earthy. Nice to be able to compare so many fantastic blends. Another rainy one here, so walked the dog utilizing the gravity defying upside down pipe trick to full effect.

Just before this, I had some Brown Sugar Flake in it that wasn't staying lit but which WAS generating a decent bit of moisture.
...the taste of War Horse and the lingering Brown Sugar get along very well together. Perhaps I'll mix the two together later.

Been outside playing with the black cat, who we've named "Abner" after Abner Peabody from Lum and Abner. Btw, several elements of this long, popular radio show (1931-1955) were used by Andy Griffith for his series in the 1960s.
