Original Walnut Flake in a MM Marcus, had my second bowl of Eight State before this in the bent Longchamp bulldog, so far so good.
C&D Carolina Red Flake with Perique in a Savinelli 616KS Punto Oro. Having some Mexican fizzy water to drink while I get coals going to grill some yardbird.
I think it was the preparation... Too course of a grind, I believe, so it was under extracted and very sour. That said, I have found the drip brew coffees more tolerant of my beginning efforts at home roasting than espresso brewing. Going to try again this evening.

Almost finished smoking Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a straight black with burgundy undertone sandblasted early 1960s Lane era Charatan 420 billiard with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Had a great Zoom with friends.
My brother came to visit so it’s cigar time. Smoking an Oliva Serie V Melanio Churchill with Filibuster bourbon.

Half way through this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue in a smooth dark brown post-WWII Comoy’s Grand Slam 340 patent billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. First time smoking this pipe.

Wilke Gramercy Park in an MM Cob as a "chaser" for my previous entry of GL Pease Westminster. Another Pease masterwork that, unfortunately, I just don't get (and even cutting it with Wilke Chocolate wouldn't help).

Davidoff Flake Medalons in an Astley full bent straight grain with original vulcanite bit. A wonderful steak with red potatoes and black beans. Now my pipe with Teacher's scotch my drink.
