Cornell & Diehl Sunday Picnic from May 2017 in a Paykoc Meerschaum Bulldog
Started from scratch. There was alot of bad wood as I went along, and I thought I might lose the shank altogether. The pipe was made in the 1997-98 time frame from Sardinian briar that was given to me during my Navy service in Italy by a local pipeman.Made a couple of others from some of the other gifted blocks. That’s an interesting piece. Did it start out as a hobby block or did you start from scratch? Either way nice work. Do you have more pics from different angles?
Now that's a fine Castello.
Thanks, smokers. One of my best pipes. It has a silky smooth, open draw, and a nice, large smoke channel in the shank.Cornell and Diehl Smokingpipes 20th Anniversary XX Flake in a Rinaldo sandblasted Dublin. View attachment 83660
