I just tried making one of your pipe cleaner stands, they’re so brilliantly simple and effective. I even got it to support a bent with the help of a little circle of pipe cleaner under the base of the bowl.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Astley’s No. 44 in a smooth slight bend dark brown 1940s-1950s Comoy’s Blue Riband 228C prince with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

First bowl of the C&D Eight State Burley + first bowl in the Peterson Aran 408; I found the author/apple wide stem really pleasing to hold. Kept the packing pretty light so it was a cool smoke and a good break between work things. Ready to get to the weekend.

I just finished some Capstan Blue Flake in the Grabow CDL (it’s a great smoker but the thin metal stem gets a bit hot if you go at it a bit hard, might be why the concept failed).
I’m now just finishing up Tuskegee Airman in the Kiko meer poker.
