Evening all, I tried the Eight State in the Balandis Bog Oak horn but won’t comment on one bowl of a newly opened tin except to say it was like nothing I’ve tried so far.
Since then I had Opening Night in the CDL and now enjoying (more with every bowl) Tuskegee Airman in the Jacob the Formidable clay. Tuskegee is now one of my absolute favourite blends. image.jpg

ESB is definitely different. I like it myself. Took a few bowls to get the jist of it. I'm letting mine rest in a jar for a few weeks before going back to it.

Just passing the quarter mark on this bowl of year 2017 Savinelli Doblone d’Oro in a smooth straight brown early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Been a very busy day. Currently cleaning estate pipes.
