Working on a bowl of MacBaren’s Symphony blend in my Molina Devil Anse. Not really impressed by the tune of this composition. Almost finished the 1 oz sampler, and will not be restocking.
Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking D&R Ryback in a smooth straight late 1970s Charatan Special 4148DC Reg. No. 203573 pot with a black double comfort vulcanite stem. Time for another set of walks.
I love me some Sillem’s Black!
But I think I’m going to lay off it for a while. The last couple of bowls tasted flat and a bit ashy. I don’t know if it’s temp/humidity related or something else but I hope I get back to being able to enjoy this blend as much as I have in the past.
About a third of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 111 in a smooth medium bend 1938-1948 Peterson Shamrock Killarney 9BC with a nickel band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem.
Overly crispy St James Flake in a Comoy’s Thames 337. Leaky SG has tin struck on the last bowl or so of this. Although it’s lost a bit of its magic it’s still ok
A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2013 Solani 633 in a 1954 patent Dunhill 148 Group 3 black shell bulldog made for the France market with a black saddle vulcanite stem. Have enough for one more bowl. Cleaning estates pipes.
