Trying out Newminster No.400 Superior Navy Flake this morning, in a Morgan Bones Milan.

I didn't give this one quite enough dry time for optimal tasting, on account of the humidity here being 93% and nothing really drying well at the moment, but in spite of that it's still a pleasant smoke from what I can taste! A nice medium Virginia that's not too bright nor too dark, with a bready character and a lightly applied sweet topping. Honey maybe? This definitely isn't an aromatic though and the topping is only lingering in the background to accentuate the natural sweetness of the Virginias at play.

I'll look forward to smoking this one again when I'm able to dry it properly!

The thread on smoking other stuff with tobacco got me curious. My wife had saved me some dried roses from her garden. I ribon cut some of the leaves and mixed it with a pipe of Louisana Broken. Its not bad. A little sweentness and floral taste. Its subtle unless you shove in a lot. No idea if I will bother again. Its in a little il ceppo
