Bowl five on the Color Duke, and my first bowl of McConnell Scottish Cake.
Why have I had this on my wish list unbought for so long?!?!
Pretty frickin’ good so far, I’m down to the heel on one relight at about the 45min mark (my pipe usually goes out when I’m cleaning hooves even though it’s hanging out of my mouth).

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and have passed the first third of this bowl of year 2018 Solani 633 in a straight 1954 patent Dunhill 148 Group 3 black shell bulldog made for the France market with a black saddle vulcanite stem. It's raining so we brought Daisy the Feral Princess in because she knows how to behave around our cats even though they don't like her. Abner the Eager, Harry the Hairy and Tomato the Brave are somewhere outside.

Starting to Get Obsessed
It has ended up as a three-bowl night, two I already mentioned (HH Bold Kentucky and G&H Brown Flake Aro). But I just opened my first tin ever of Balkan Sasieni, and OH MAH GAWD is this delicious, with a fantastic room note. This is a lovely discovery for me, as I managed to snag like 6 tins of it via CigarBid this week for like $5 per tin. I'm in love.

The next pipe is a Sasieni One Dot Specially Selected tapered stemmed straight Bulldog shape 18 with a “fishtail” script.

@sablebrush52 helped date this to pre-1923 as after 1923 town names were used for shapes rather than numbers

I find cube cut tobaccos are among the hardest to light.

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2014 Astley’s No. 55 in a 1915-1920 straight smooth dark brown BBB Own Make 150 apple with a silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
