Hot coffee in the Yeti mug as I amble around our retirement farm looking at the grass growth. No stock here yet as I have no fences but they’ll come. Smoking some soon to be extinct Sutliff Buttered Rum in my delightful Astas Meerchaum.

I cellared deep on Sutliff and MacB long before the STG sale. Glad I did.

Could be Starlink satellites. Freaked me out the first time I saw them, which was roughly April 2020

Laurel Heights for me

Lol, you and me both. I was on the phone with my oldest son who saw them as well and we were freaked out! That would have been 2019 or 2020. Thought for sure the end was near! I still like looking for them in the night sky. Pretty cool.

After shoveling out the dry lot, feeding the sheep and shoveling around the chicken coop, I noticed my horse trailer had a flat tire.
Tires at Les Schwabs getting fixed (a nail) and I’m Ready for a relaxing cup of coffee and a good smoke.
The vintage House of Robertson Lovat with ‘23 WC American Cut Plug Mixture.
What a great Burley/Va baccy!

I thought I posted this earlier, but that HoR Lovat is very nice. Even better that it’s a local to ya.

The first thing I thought when I saw this picture:

“Come and listen to my story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
And then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground come a bubblin crude.

Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.” 😂

What are your thoughts on the blend?

I haven't had much time with the blend, and I'm still a bit too new to describe anything with accuracy. The main takeaway for me Is it has a natural sweetness to it, and I get a bit of spice in the background. Best I can give you is it tastes like what I'd expect quality tobacco to taste like. I don't get any artificial flavoring from it. If I was having a multiple pipe day I wouldn't hesitate to have this more than once in a day. I should've bought more than the two tins I purchased, I can see myself smoking this year-round.

Now smoking Sutliff 507-c in Vauen Olaf bent egg. That's probably what they were although the Starlink Tracker indicates that they won't be visible in my area until this Saturday traveling West/ Northwest but that site has a caveat that its only an estimate. These were traveling Southwest to northeast so it was probably them. Thanks.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and snow peas dinner with freshly made apple raisin strudel and a small bowl of French vanilla ice cream for dessert. I'm passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2014 Dunhill Flake in a straight smooth 1960 Dunhill DR 137 group 4 root briar canted dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. China Yunnan GFOP tea, neat, is my drink.
