The first thing I thought when I saw this picture:OJK in the little meer as the sun gets closer to going down on a fine Thursday. View attachment 360363
Nice acquisitionMy Newgrange 406 arrived today!
I’m very pleased with it. Nice blast with subtle ring grain. Silver work is very sharp indeed and really dresses up the pipes black finish.
Decided the first smoke would be WC ACPM. A mug of Pu’erh tea accompanying.

So the back story on that glass, I have a set of 8 or 10, they used to belong to my grandfather and he most definitely was an oil man! I am as well, though I’m still aspiring to be as great as he. I’ve come close a couple times but this is a vicious game nowadays. All that said, I’d love to be shooting at anything and have some crude come bubbling up!The first thing I thought when I saw this picture:
“Come and listen to my story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
And then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground come a bubblin crude.
Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.”

Have a good evening.
Could be Starlink satellites. Freaked me out the first time I saw them, which was roughly April 2020I decided to smoke a little Match Sunrise in the Vauen bent egg before dinner; I was looking up at the night sky trying to see if I could see any of the Northern Lights which have been reportedly seen over Ct. In the distance I saw a string of stars and was trying to figure out which constellation it was ... but it wasn't ... six in a row became eight then about twelve then about twenty and they were floating/flying towards my backyard ,,, as they got to the treeline they simply blinked out or disappeared. I'm guessing drones in unison or one drone with a string of lights behind it. I know the Match Sunrise is about a year old but its not that fermented !!! As soon as the lights blinked out all of my neighbors (3) motion sensor security lights went on lighting up the street. Strange goings on ... but I have to make dinner now.
What are your thoughts on the blend?Enjoyed a short smoke of Low Country Carolina Christmas in a Dr Grabow Lark. The wind was a bit too gusty for me to enjoy a longer session outdoors. The little Lark did a fine job of letting me enjoy a bowl, even if it wasn't for very long.
