Now I’m finishing a bowl of St. James Flake in a Wessex Canadian that just earned beater status after being launched off my tailgate when I closed it. I found it in on the ground sitting upright. Turns out cats and Canadians land on their feet after a fall.

First smoke of the year was Captain Black Copper (sample) in a Savinelli Mattone 614 faux-Hungarian. Took about four or five hours to dry to what I deemed an acceptable level. All I can say is...

Bird report: Dark-eyed junco, White-crowned sparrow, Chipping sparrow, House finch, California towhee, Oak titmouse, White-breasted nuthatch, American crow, California quail, California scrub-jay, Mountain chickadee, Steller's jay, Hairy woodpecker, Spotted towhee, and Northern flicker.

polishing off the night with a Peterson tavern.
Some Mac Baren vanilla loose cut.
And some four roses single barrel.

I’m trying to see if there is any difference between the Mac loose cut vs the coin cut. Wanting to know which to cellar away.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.
