Relaxing after a wonderful salad, haddock and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I get to have an off diet day tomorrow. I'm a third of the way through this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Tonight's bowl was SG Best brown in a Stanwell. I won't mention my previous few smokes as I had covid and it messed up my olfactory. Every bowl I attempted tasted like wet burning cardboard. This bowl tasted 70% normal with a hint of cardboard. I'm heading in the right direction. This was my first bowl since before Christmas. I was sick as a dog for 2 weeks.

Time to show the Danes some love after the recent rounds of STG bashing (deservedly or not) 😏
After all the current Queen of Denmark, Mary, is an Aussie

A couple of Danish made Stanwells

The 1st is an Sixten Ivarsson designed Shape 24 (from early ‘70s) which has been re-stemmed.
Here it is with the original straight saddle stem

I've never seen anybody complain about Danish pipemaking lmfao. From what I've seen most people feel the Danish made Stanwells are much better than the current Italian made ones. I must say the bent stem looks much better on it than the original.
