Near the half way mark of this bowl of Sutliff Cringle Flake (Holiday Edition 2024) in a straight smooth brown post-WWII Derby Natural Grain billiard (Sasieni) with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Couldn't post until now because as soon as I made my last post, Abner the Eager jumped on my lap for attention and a snooze. He must have a cold because he's been sneezing a fair amount the last couple of days. Tomato the Brave wasn't thrilled about it all because he wanted to be on my lap. Right now, he's snoozin' on the couch.

Today I broke a rule: I failed to give my smoke - Irish Cask in a carefully-selected Futura half-bent rusticated Dublin - my full attention, and having lit up, started reading some nonsense about Rennes-le-Chateau, the Merovingian Dynasty and what 'Pax 681' really means, might mean, doesn't mean, etc. I should know better: the nuanced subliminality was lost as my attention wandered off in the footsteps of the Church fathers at the Third Ecumenical Council of Constantinople, and in return I just got an average nicotine fix with a hint of Perique. That'll learn me to mind what I'm about... 😆
Wonder what the Church Fathers would think of the current crop of heresies and heretics. . . . love that pipe btw

Just wondering, did you figure out what Bob cut himself on?
Exhausted Rooster in dad’s late sixties Stanwell 90
Unfortunately, this is the pipe that taught me to practice pipe tinkering on ones you don’t care about, but it still works.

Yah I know this is the wrong thread, but my Ropp J07 did the same thing when new, and after it was broken in, it stopped. Glad your dad's pipe still runs after your tinkering.

Afternoon bowl of Krater-Plug in an Ahmet Govem commission. Certainly, one of my all-time faves from the Hans Wiedemann lineup.

Me too! it's delicious but I love most everything I've had from HU... the man is a witch with the blending...I'm a huge fan of Gawith products and they make my favorites but I don't know now,,, it's real close with some of these HU blends... Flanagan is my new favorite...
