Work is done for the day, all the cats are fed, and I'm a third of the way through this bowl of year 2007 Astley’s No. 109 in a straight smooth brown circa 1950s-60s BBB Contrast 506 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I may end the day with this smoke.

Enjoyed this 2019 version I picked up at the 2022 show, so it had a couple years on it. I don't know if it's same blend I as the 2022 but if it is and more importantly, is the same one that will be at the 2023 show, then that will be a treat. It's a VaPer and it's one of those blends that's good from first light to dottle. Constistent all the way through and just flat good. I think there is a light sweet note added in but it is very subtle.
Smoked a big bowl in the craggy blasted short fuse Moonshine Cannonball. Yes please.

Smoking some Smoker's Pride Rum Cured in a Blatter & Blatter tomato shape with one red dot. This one is a little tongue-bitey so it needs to be smoked slowly.,. which is hard for a "Wabash Cannonball" smoker like me!

Year 2018 C&D Haunted Bookshop in an IMP Meerschaum. Probably has 150 or so bowls smoked in it. I love the bald spot. Also I have to ask to all who buy a new Meer, then post in WAYS with no pictures, Why? We want to be part of the coloring journey with you.
