Whole leaf blend. Medium english with a kick.

20% latakia
20% kentucky
20% perique
10% izmir
20% stoved red virginia
10% black stoved bright virginia

I like my English with a little less latakia, a touch of sweetness, decent strength and a good dollop of spice. Yum!

A bowl of '07 St. James Flake in this Tsuge Ikebana - contemplating some BIG questions tonight, thought I'd break out the brain tickler...

Before I go nuts and buy a bunch of Gawith Hoggarth, I do well to remind myself that I bought a 500g bag of Scotch Mixture in 2019 only to discover that the recipe had been altered. It's a decent blend but nowhere near as complex as what was being sold 4 years ago. I don't want to cellar any more "surprises" so I'll sample the current incarnations before ordering in large quantities.

Enjoyed a tasty honey crisp apple, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of 1970s Prince Albert in an undated, unbranded straight smooth brown made in France Los Alton VBF Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Drawing and listening to Harry Nile.
