Peterson Irish Flake in an unfinished Savinelli Series III lumberman. I've been breaking this new pipe in with mostly burley and VaBur blends and not getting much flavor. New pipe blues or maybe it's a VA or Latakia pipe. Hope I find a good niche for it.

Whole leaf blend. Medium english with a kick.

20% latakia
20% kentucky
20% perique
10% izmir
20% stoved red virginia
10% black stoved bright virginia

I like my English with a little less latakia, a touch of sweetness, decent strength and a good dollop of spice. Yum!

Before I go nuts and buy a bunch of Gawith Hoggarth, I do well to remind myself that I bought a 500g bag of Scotch Mixture in 2019 only to discover that the recipe had been altered. It's a decent blend but nowhere near as complex as what was being sold 4 years ago. I don't want to cellar any more "surprises" so I'll sample the current incarnations before ordering in large quantities.

Just got in from driving 1,000 miles in 14 hours and working a four hour fire scene. I’m tired. I smoked a shitload of Granger in multiple pipes.

Now it’s time for my final pipe. Irish Rope in an early 1900’s AOC Keystone Oppenheimer with a couple of fingers of Royal Crown.
