Almost a third of the way through this bowl of D&R Windsail in a 2013 straight black sandblasted Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Baker Street with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite fish tail stem. This should get me to dinner time.

It's the bottom pipe.

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2016 Sam Gawith Cabbie’s Uncut in a late 50s, early 60s Comoy’s straight smooth dark brown Deluxe 20 billiard with a silver cap military mount and a black vulcanite tapered stem.

That is a classy looking pipe. I have always been partial to bent pipes until recently. I have some old straight pipes that went neglected until recently (Sterncrest, Royalton, Nob Hill, Wally Frank, Grabow). Needless to say, I have seen the light and added Kaywoodie, BBB and GBD to the mix.

Whole leaf blend. Something a little brighter than my recent ky/va/or blends which included black stoved Virginia and perique.

40% kentucky
30% stoved red virginia
20% stoved bright virginia
10% prelip
A sprinkle of basma

Kentucky is the backdrop. Stoved red adds some sweetness and bready notes. The bright virginia and orientals have a nice herbal quality and tea notes together and the brights provide a little citrus and grass to perk up the earthy kentucky and reds. A nice all around blend, medium sweet with a nice spice and decent strength.

Ribbon cut through a sandblasted vauen billiard stubby.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, wild caught catfish, chicken and zucchini dinner with a scoop of Dutch chocolate ice cream for dessert. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue in a 2015 Ryan Alden quarter bend black sandblasted Queen of Hearts freehand with a black acrylic saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching a lecture about Dissension in the Continental Army on CSpan-3.
