Aged 45 years I'm hoping that those remaining will still be ok to smoke.

? Oh wow, I thought they were all fresh. I probably wouldn’t inhale just to be safe. I’ll make a recommendation on a decent cigarette that’s still in production. I suggest trying Camel Turkish Royal’s Turkish/Virginia tobaccos that’s smell and taste superb. I smoked them for 15 years, now I dip Copenhagen, and smoke a pipe.

Put them in a tin or pouch with a Boveda pack. It’s a small package that rehydrates tobacco, specifically designed to keep the correct humidity. They’re not expensive and they work but I’ve never tried them with 45yo cigarettes of course. I remember Rameses, a bloody good smoke, I quit cigs because Samson became unavailable in the UK and no other RYO tobacco could match it for me. I’m smoking Fire Dance in a Genoa Bantam Falcon at the mo.

Mcclelend 2003 backwoods in a jody Davis bent apple. I’ve smoked maybe 10 bowls from this tin in various pipes. This is the first time it’s really clicked with my palate. Extra shocking because this is a new pipe and this is the second time smoking it, it’s also a wide bowl with a .87 diameter. I always thought VA flakes were meant to be smoked in tall narrow chamber. This is making me rethink all of that

I’m having more Craven in my Spanish Clipper (maker not shape) billiard. If this was the last tobacco on earth I wouldn’t be disappointed. Listening to Dexter Gordon’s Go at the mo, Howlin’ Wolf is next in line with a bowl Exclusiv Black Cherry. There’s bugger all on the tv as usual.
