Germain's Brown Flake.

This is such a unique blend - I like it a lot!

Now I am smoking Sam Gawith Brown Nr. 4 in a Castello KKKK Old Sea Rock Author shape.

Beforehand I had Cabbie’s Mixture in a KKKK Castello Sea Rock (background left side) and Salty Dogs in a KK Collection Canadian (background right side) from the same trusted brand.

A third of the way through this bowl of Sutliff Prince Albert Match in a 1980s straight smooth Big Ben pot with a nickel band and a black vulcanite saddle stem. It's gotten a little dry, so I hydrated the rest.

I make sure to wipe stem with a napkin (that’s table) after ever smoke to keep the oils down and check the fit periodically ?
not as low maintenance as some pipes, but they can be pulled apart so that helps.
Yes, that’s fine at home or in the mess, but if a military mount is meant to be used by the military in the field, in less than ideal conditions, then it is not a very functional design, perhaps, in my humble opinion, but I’m unaware of the origins of the design, presuming it is of military origins though.
