Noticed the Mini logo. I had one of the original Mini 1000s back in the 70s. Most fun I ever had on 4 wheels. Was at a stoplight when a drunken lady (never found out why she was drunk but she was also pretty distraught) ran through the red light, and totalled my Mini with me in it. Unscathed, but my Mini looked like an accordion bellows. Her Malibu Classic 327 looked like it only needed a bandaid. The following day I went out and bought the identical car to hers but with a 4 barrel carb. After that, muscle ruled!! I've never really grown up, eh? :ROFLMAO:

On this cold, dry snowy morning (-16 °C = 3.20 °F), I am smoking a couple flakes of HH BF in a Castello sea rock LS billiard while sipping a strong mug of dark roasted coffee.
Now, THAT'S rustication! Like, crazy! Love it!

I've driven about 5 different minis through work over the years and every one of them has been incredibly fun, but none as much as the electric ones - those things are like wee go-karts. Never driven another car that finds hills so easy. It's funny when you get boy racers driving up your arse and you kick in the acceleration on one of these electric minis, they just GO! Boy racers never see it coming. The range on them is shite though

You nailed it. Fast puffing is the symptom. Impatience or stress or anxiety or something of that ilk is the cause. That’s why I love this hobby. To smoke right, you have to focus. Or at least I do.
Herein is wisdom. Or maybe it's just temperament - but I find that I can't enjoy a pipe half as much if I'm working at the same time (writing being the only exception), or even just walking around. I need to schedule some time to sit down and smoke, and focus on just that. That way, paying attention, I enjoy my [pipe to the full.

Volunteer day with Don Catchment Rivers Trust trimming the hedges / shrubs at Avenue Farm & removing / collecting the plastic tree guards.
Picked 9 bags of rubbish, 1 vape and some blister packs, disposable gloves and wrappers for recycling.
Given £5 by a fellow litter picker in Chesterfield. Bought a clay at the Chesterfield flea market today; going to give it a blast with some Peterson University Flake.
Found 2p so giving it Sooty when I go to the Neptune this weekend.
Got 3 litter picking volunteer days next week, at Rother Rec on Wednesday, Queen's Park on Thursday & Clay Cross on Sunday.
Then I'm going to the leatherworking workshop at Barley Hall in York on Feb 17.

Currently waiting on a shoulder mount of a bear I took with a crossbow back in September. Nice rug, and pronghorn. Is that a stag on the left?
As a side note, congrats on your arrow bear. I live in very heavy duty bear country, and I've shot so many that I stopped counting at 40. Reason? a clean 2 1/2 year old is about the best eating in the northern woods if you know how to prepare it. We don't have garbage bears up here. Makes the best chile and stew you can imagine. Deer up here taste like pine cones. #2 on my go to list is snowshoe hares, which I harvest with airguns. Absoluteiy delicious, especially in a sweet and sour sauce. Much better than grouse. My mother was a trained cook who often wrote food columns for the Vancouver Sun in the 1950s, and she trained me pretty good. Friends never asked me what they were eating, however. Animal or vegetable lol. Apologies, but us old farts like to reminisce!

Good day all! Post-op last few days so I've been indulging in a steady diet of DeLuxe Navy Rolls and 1792 Flake. Today back to normal (sort of, Propofol mostly out of my system) so starting with a favorite treat, namely Ennerdale Flake in a dedicated Tilshead footed smooth Cutty with eighth-bent tapered stem. Tastes wonderful.

@gord , thank you for sharing that culinary info. I have eaten everything you mentioned and really miss it all, especially rabbit and bear tamales. Great info!

Exactly why I smoke @MisterBadger. I need to remind myself at times to slow down and enjoy the smoke. Wisdom
