I almost bought that same lighter on eBay, being a man of limited resources I opted for a bic and more tobacco! That pipe should help keep interest! Very pretty!Been smoking a pipe way to irregular that I forgot to post about it, even lost some interest in smoking, but I picked up the pipe again.

I was fortunate that my dad had bought his new when he was still a young man. In truth, they don’t work as well as you would think. You can easily blow them out when lightning the pipe. But, yes, it does actually light a pipe. Also, for whatever reason, the fluid only last a week at the most.I almost bought that same lighter on eBay, being a man of limited resources I opted for a bic and more tobacco! Cool setup.
Thanks for the info! I was wondering how well they work. Whatever lighter I decide to spend some money on will be an antiquity.I was fortunate that my dad had bought his new when he was still a young man. This is an assortment that @Peter Turbo kindly gifted me for Secret Santa a year ago. Tried the Sillems Black. The added flavoring were all over for a while, then settled into a peach-raspbery. Enjoyable, but it really masked the tobacco. Still, a pleasant smoke on an unseasonably warm evening.
Oh Man that ser jacopo is gorgeous!Yesterday I finally pulled out a sample of Old Gowrie I hand. Smoked it in a ser jacopo. For me it was tasty but just a little light. It reminds me of St Bernard Flake with a nice bready flavor with perique interplay to add interest.
Today Im comparing it to hal o the wynd. I think I prefer the darker and deeper flavor of HOTW. To me, while it is good, OG taste like tobacco on a diet. Then again, I dont get cranked up by straight light virginias either. For the cellar I will likely stick with HOTW, ST Bernard, Salty dogs, and some HU for Vapers and of course marlin flake.
