Enjoyed a tasty Jazz apple, fed the indoor and outdoor cats, did a load of dishes, and am half way through this bowl of D&R Raccoon’s Friend in a pre-1980s straight dark brown Comoy's Sandblast 186 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Working and listening to It Pays To be Ignorant from my own radio collection. A very funny, silly and neglected parody of quiz shows.

I was so shocked when it happened. My wife keeps saying "We'll fix it, we'll fix it". I have some ideas as to how to repair the break, but we'll see if it works. I've repaired briar pipes that have had chunks taken out of the bowl, but have not worked on meerschaums yet. Its a challenge I'll have to take on.
Two part Epoxy ought to fix it. I'm very sorry this happened to you, man.

Navy flake in the backcountry. Shepherds have been smoking in this hut pretty much since tobacco first made it to our shores. Just out of the frame to the right is Aoraki, NZ’s highest mountain. The jeep pics are for @shanez

A hunt in NZ is on my to do list. Staying in a remote hut, smoking and hunting sounds amazing. Looks like where I live!

Listing this a few minutes early: Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite.

Half way through this bowl of 2021 Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. I finished the Archie story I have been working on.

Now smoking 1960s Edgeworth Ready Rubbed in a medium bend dark brown 2017 Don Warren 17 smooth straight grain rough top Dublin with a multi-brown cumberland stem and ferrule in the military mount style. I have very little of this particular vintage so I save it as a treat smoke. The pipe is a gift from a great friend.

Paterson's Elizabethan Mixture
In a French W.H.C. (In an oval) straight bulldog with a horn saddle stem.Birmingham hallmarked 1898.

The stem was in original condition but the chamber was over-reamed with a thin floor.
I applied a coating of JB Weld followed by a couple of thin layers of pipe mud.
It's one of my favourite "oldies" - featherweight and easily clenchable because of its size

May I ask?
JB Weld is an epoxy glue, isn't it? Don't you mind putting it in the bowl, I mean with the high temperature that rises in there?
Thanks.

I read: "Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park is a rugged land of ice and rock, with 19 peaks over 3,000 metres"...!!!
I had no idea!
