Hey, did you happen to buy this Asteriou? It was beyond my budget but I had been staring at it for months. Someone nabbed it.

I've almost bought it several times, thank god someone else bought it so I can stop. The one thing that kept me from pulling the trigger was that random looking mammoth button to fill in a hole on the bamboo. Didn't seem to go with the pipe. It is quite beautiful otherwise.

Early 00's Paul Olsens My Own Blend 111, in the Il Duca D saxophone.
I'm happy that Jim Anderson (Lazarus Eatates) let me dip my grubby paws into this tin.
TR lists it as "Still Available" but I've not seen it anywhere.
A truly fantastic Va/Per - the red Virginia is sweet and tangy. Top tier leaf to my tongue. The perique adds body and depth without over-asserting itself. The Virginia is the star in this flake.
Wish I had a full tin of it, with this much age. Five stars!

You can get it at The Danish Pipe Shop.
They are no longer allowed to ship tobacco - only in Denmark.
It's a lovely tobacco, I always have a couple of tins in my cabinet.

Yesterday I smoked some ST James Plug and followed it up with some Telegraph Hill. I came away thinking that Telegraph Hill is a better VaPer than St James (shock/horror), more flavour, deeper fruit plum/fig notes, sweeter too and TH seemed to be more balanced. I'm about to repeat the process but reverse order, so about to smoke TH followed by St James both of which will be smoked in the Virgin Castello #33IMG_4633.jpeg

some tobacco I've bought in a german site:
S. & DUBLIN
The tobacco is sweet and it is spicy. Delicate and yet robust. A variety of Virginias with their own characters, ethereal orient and a subtle Latakia rounding combine Danish and English accents to create a multi-layered tobacco enjoyment!

Just thought of you guys and decided to post it here

And with the dark flake too! Glad to see you are smoking the good stuff and not the free shitty tobacco sutliff sends you to review.

Given that it’s post 2018 production, I’m assuming you get zero Lakeland’s factory essence in that one?
That is correct. No Lakeland at all.

I disagree with you on Sutliff. Sutliff does make plenty of good blends, especially in the last few years as they've stepped up their game plan. I think every company has a range of good to bad. I wouldn't label any company as a producer of nothing but bad blends.

I’m yanking your chain with alliteration that’s all. “Shitty sutliff” flows off the tongue much like “crappy c&d”.

You know besides Gawith, EGR takes the biggest percentage of my stash 😂

If you can’t taste the factory aroma, then something has definitely change. I need to get you some dark plug now

Did a second set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of year 2015 D&R A.B. Rimboche in an undated slight bend, smooth flame grain Wessex Standard egg with a brown accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Abner the Eager walked a lap and a half with me, until Sam the Scamp showed up. Abner backed away, and Sam, who runs like a rabbit, did the last lap and a half with me. Abner followed us about fifteen feet behind. I gave both of them food before I started walking, so it wasn't a matter of waiting to eat. They just wanted to be with me.

I know you're yanking my chain, but some here wouldn't know that, so I figured I'd better say something about it.

Haven't had Dark Plug in quite a while. I hope G&H didn't ruin it as they have weakened so many blends since the merger.
