Half way through this bowl of year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth brown 1920s KBB Rocky Briar 1582 patent no.298978 with a B in a circle bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

I really love the stems on this year's Saint Nicholas pipes. When I first laid eyes on them I thought how cool they would look on the Peterson Dracula pipe, maybe with some black steaks running through it in that style. Beautiful pipe
Starting my day with Bayou Morning in a 1930’s Linkman’s Dr. Grabow.
Enjoyed a tasty Jazz apple, and am off to work with a bowl of D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 lumberman with a tapered black vulcanite stem.
The blast is awesome on that one. Looks like it's brand new too.

Now smoking Wilke Hearth of Galway in an undated smooth straight medium brown made in France Saillard Lord Clerit lumberman with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
It’s -2 F out at the moment, so I only smoked half of this bowl of Sutliff ERR Match in the cob I devote to light burley blends.
Strangely, despite filling the pipe days ago and leaving it out to dry, it has been smoking as if wet: slow to take a light, and then sizzling when it’s going. Could be the weather or operator error, perhaps both.
On the plus side, I’m really liking the flavor and aroma of this blend. I want to try a few more codgery burley blends before I declare a favorite, but I could see myself getting more of this one.
