Another tribute to Pee Wee Herman August! ❤️

Just opened, trying for the first time, Orlik Golden Sliced in a Dr. Grabow: Commodore 65 Zulu, dated from 1967-1969 with a vulcanite stem, metal screw-in tenon, no stinger.

This one also goes out to @hoosierpipeguy not sure you’ve smoked this? When I opened it, I was really surprised how much the flakes looked like Sir John’s, but even more amazing, the tin note is similar, that floral note Sir John’s has.

Also, it has a similar taste profile, along with that floral note, I can taste too... hmm quite odd. 🤔

I thought at first this is a casing Sir John’s had added, maybe it still has something, but this does seem like a style of VAs, but this is only the second time I’ve experienced this. 🤔

I can’t believe how First Class this blend is! 👍

@PipeIT Looks like it would be a good baccy for my clay pipes. @Birddog66 Still not received my Musketeer I ordered on July 23rd.

For a while, I was smoking Haunted Bookshop, but now I am smoking through this tin of the C&D/Warped Midsommar.

Just now finished a second bowl for today, Ennerdale, and it wasn't hitting quite right. For some reason, these late night smokes never hit the spot I want them to. Maybe it's the humidity (I only smoke outside and it's currently a 93% RH), or maybe my Lakelands pipe is due for a good cleaning.

Finished work for the day, and will finish it tomorrow. I'm close to finishing this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. Spent time feeding the ferals.

Not good news Dan, on top of the charges I received yesterday the lady at the post office told me Customs want £120 for four tins of MacBaren that I ordered. There’s no logic to the prices they charge it just seems to be any ludicrous number picked out of the air.

In the midst of tragedy, I must continue honoring not only Pee Wee Herman but now the island of Maui. 🌴 🌞 🥥 🍍 🤙

I can’t believe I only live 30 minutes away, from a place that now looks like a war zone, it’s so surreal, maybe it hasn’t fully registered, but I think it has. 🤔

I was thinking to drive there and have a look around, but now, I really don’t want these images in my head. :(

Have a look at these pictures if you want to get a glimpse into some of this destruction. :(

To Pee Wee & Maui! ❤️

G.L. Pease Bankside in a Dr. Grabow: Commodore 65 Zulu, dated from 1967-1969 with a vulcanite stem, metal screw-in tenon, no stinger.

I sat for a moment thinking, why did I choose to want to smoke of all things a smoky smelling blend, at a time like this... hmm 🤔

I ask that you stop for a few minutes, to reflect on you! We all know life is hard at times, but whatever you are going through, I truly hope you find joy, peace and love in this world, because as today reminded me, know one has a crystal ball, to know what the future will hold.

So please hold dearly on to what you have, and please be well everyone! ❤️
