I'd like to I ask you guys in The States a question about one of your corncob pipes that I'm thinking of buying but I'm a bit put off by what looks like a burn mark around the centre of the shank.
Is this normal and if it is what's the reason for it?

they put that mark to make it resemble bamboo or reed. ?

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, wild caught catfish and green beans dinner with strawberries and cherries for dessert. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem.
