Now smoking Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight late ‘50s, early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Getting ready to do a Zoom chat with a few fellow pipers, including the one who gifted me this pipe.

Currently having 3 year old dunhill Elizabethan in a danets billiard. I last used this pipe for the sutliff edgeworth match and every once in a while I am getting a whiff of that blend. No flavour imparted though.

20200802_163925.jpgSunday Sun tobaccos in my fat ol' sun pipe*. I passed on the Sun Bear last year, but it is a nice VaOr. Probably improve a bit as I just opened/certain C&D tobaccos mellow up after 4-5 days of opening.

*- For sure, the Boswell meets carve-your-first Danish chunk of wood style is a trigger shape for many discerning smokers.....but McLary pipes makes a nicely grained, well-drilled, thick-walled, bullet-proof weekend smoker. I've got a large selection of fancy Mcfancy artisan pipes....but when you get on your third rum and want a fire and forget.....this maker has been great. Usually around $80-$100.
