Whole leaf blend. Ky per or flake.

45% kentucky
40% oriental
15% perique

Pressed stoved the plug for a few hours. Became a nice dark colour. Surprisingly sweet for a Virginia free blend. The Kentucky is mellowed from the stoving and paired with the fruit notes of the perique, it becomes more chocolatey at first and then more earthy. The orientals are very fragrant and musty off the start but mellow into more leather, wood, incense and some cinnamon/cumin notes for the rest of the smoke. The perique butters them up a bit. Good strength, a nice spice and smokes at a very relaxed pace.

Through a vauen sandblast billiard p lip stem.

Earlier I had some Golden Extra in Wilmer, not had much of a chance to find out anything about this brand but it’s got lovely grain.
I’m almost done with Charatan Rolls in the Longchamp Bulldog after some nice Chicken in a Marsala wine and mushroom sauce for dinner.
Dessert is going to be a bowl of Maple St in the new Jima pipe and that’ll do it for me. image.jpg
