A quarter of the way through this bowl of Beta Test #2 in a 2003 smooth three quarter bend Rinaldo Fiammata Odissea Titania 02 Silver Line 3 Straight Grain egg with a black acrylic tapered stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Almost time for Mad Dog Russo.

Is that shank all briar or does it have a metal shaft through it?

Stainless shaft through it. I believe all of her pencil shanks have that in place for re-enforcement. Some folks don’t care that from an absorbency viewpoint. It doesn’t seem to effect me. I use a pipe cleaner during a bowl anyhows.

Lovely pipe! I’d be afraid to smoke it without the shaft. I’m big on Falcons so the metal is fine with me!
