A third of the way through this bowl of year 2015 D&R A.P. Rimboche in a smooth dark brown, medium bend late 1950s Parker Super Bruyere 45 with a “4” in a circle billiard with a black vulcanite tapered stem. This should get me to dinner time. Getting ready to watch the Braves-Cubs game.

@ashdigger I've tried the Black Cherry ? but the Cherry ? Vanilla is my favourite pipe tobacco - I had a memorable smoke of it in my Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes clay pipe (since sold) when I went to see Lace Wars at Cromford Mill in 2019!
I also smoked some Cherry ? Vanilla in a 17th century style clay (again since sold) when I went too see Cavendish's Horses at Bolsover Castle in the same year; I was extremely taken with the re-enactor playing William Cavendish as he was wearing some very extravagant costume, a hat with lots of feathers and he was smoking a rare silver tobacco pipe he said was over 250 years old - I'd never seen one before!
In between shows we had a smoke and a chat; he told me he'd taken part in a clay pipe smoking competition where he managed to keep his pipe burning for more than an hour- I don't know how he did it!
I'd like to fill my large clay with flake and see how long I can make it last me; the most I've ever managed is 24 minutes!
Guess I need to slow my puffing down!

@ofafeather I broke one of my clay pipes yesterday.
Need to keep practicing for clay pipe smoking competitions - I've got another year to get some practice in!
