This is a GREAT book. I have recommended it to dozens of people. Ironically, I live at the eastern edge of the Comancheria, just off Quanah Hill Rd.
About to start this one. I read the first, and although a very neat mix of creative ideas for the future, the 80's I grew up in was not the 80's in that book. Everything did not center on those godawful movies like Pretty in Pink and such. In fact, I hated what became to be known as 80's music and the whole Member's Only jacket bullies.
I hope this book is at least as entertaining as the first, and hopefully I don't have to listen to a bunch of 80's music to "get" some of the references.

I’ve read Kushiels Dart... racey, but like just slightly racey. It needed more descriptive perversions if she wanted it to be really interesting. More detail went into the violence.
Always worth reading about coffee, scotch, or pipes.
Been on a C J Box jag, too long on spy, Muslium blow em ups, good old Amrerican Game Warden stories, sorry no interlectual value, gonna be an uninformed Cajun.

Flying Saucers Have Landed (1952), by Desmond Leslie and George Adamski. A brilliant work of non-fiction.
Going to run through the entire series again 
Just ordered The Demon Haunted World by Carl Sagan to reread (I got it from the library the first time)
It was good. The books are better. Months of reading.
