I just found a CD I was gifted some years ago and I don't think I ever played it until now.

It's called Strange Generation by Dirty Americans, a band I've never heard of but it's playing now for the second time and I'm really enjoying it, kind of like a mix of 70's hard rock with some more contemporary melodies thrown in.

I never heard that version before....really funky.

I actually love Abba but would never admit it in public

Don't be ashamed Jay. I love ABBA, my old man loves ABBA, Johnny Rotten from Sex Pistols loves ABBA, everybody loves ABBA! 👍

Slowing down the song a smidge really changes it up, doesn't it? There's quite a few songs that they've slowed down and added reverb to that I like.

Somehow, I have went this long and the original rock'n'roller, Chuck Berry!! This absolutely tore it up in the 50's. You good listen to his infectious guitar licks for hours on such song as "Maybelline", "Johnny B. Goode", "School Days", "Sweet Little Sixteen", etc.

5/5

"They're really rockin' in Boston
In Pittsburgh, P.A.
Deep in the heart of Texas
And 'round the Frisco Bay
All over St. Louis
And down in New Orleans
All the cats wanna dance with
Sweet little sixteen"
