Ira and Charlie Louvin are so far above all other male duet country music duos they belong in a seperate category. Duplication of any of the Louvin Brothers songs has been said to be impossible.

But aside from the Louvins, I believe Buck Owens and Don Rich were the best male duo in the golden age of country music.

If only Don Rich hadn’t loved his Harley, you know?

I'm kind of surprised that none of us have mentioned Paul Anka who was teen heart throb back in the 50's. Once the Beatles came along he was kind of pushed aside but he has a long life of doing musical things. Surprisingly he is the one who wrote the music for the "Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson. He's still alive and kicking at 83.

5/5

"I'm so young and you're so old
This, my darling, I've been told
I don't care just what they say
'Cause forever I will pray

You and I will be as free
As the birds up in the trees
Oh, please stay by me, Diana"
