Kicking off the weekend with Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye from 2020. I get Red Delicious apples on the palate before the Rye spice kicks in and wraps me in a big Kentucky hug. Actually, I guess it would be a big Canadian hug.?

After my morning coffee and red wine drinking reps, I'm trying Old Scout for the first time. For some reason I'm being reminded of scotch, which I haven't had since 2005-2008. The Class Six on post had a wide variety and great prices back then, I was on a scotch kick then. I must say that I like this one much more over Rabbit Hole. Cheers!

Our local, state owned liquor store recently put Teeling Single Grain, Irish Whiskey on sale. I bought a bottle and after tasting it, I went back and secured a couple of more. A very smooth Irish whiskey with some nice apricot fruit notes and subtle spice.
